The most naturally helpful and friendly employees I have experienced in a longtime. It makes such a difference to my stay. Stayed in room 504, a lovely dual aspect floor to ceiling windows overlooking Dundee. Fabulous morning and evening views with a comfy seat, set away from other rooms. Breakfast was well organised and tasty with a good range on offer. No special orders except if you want vegan sausages or vegan waffles, just ask as they are so friendly. Things I should have asked reception and I'm sure they would have sorted if I had given them the opportunity. 1. I found the shower didn't get to the same temperature as the sink basin taps, maybe a safety feature? 2. Thought the duvet was on the thin side so got cold at night. 3. Room could take an extra comfy chair so 2 people can watch the views. Things that are beyond the hotels control. Other reviews report that the noise is minimal from this room, however my experience was the whole area gets noisy in the early hours between 1am and 3am due to the nightclubs across the road. Wednesdays is student night which seemed to be the worse. Appreciate everyone's attitude to noise is different however this wouldn't be my 1st choice hotel next time due to the noise which caused interrupted sleep each night, but may not be a concern for others. Other than the noise, every other aspect of the hotel is 5 star especially the service.

Room was clean warm and everything you could want from a budget hotel. Shower was excellent and all toiletries provided. The staff were very friendly check in was quick and everything explained . The free breakfast selection was excellent. We were not charged for our disabled parking which is a great bonus. Location was so central. They only have a small menu for snack type meals but our pizza was fine . Drinks are reasonably priced. Definitely will return when in the area. Once again can't praise the staff enough

Bed not made, stains on carpet and chair, breakfast good but you were always waiting for it to be replenished, we've stayed in several Hamilton by Hilton hotels is this the worst of them all.

The good, a very good value for money stay, staff are lovely, rooms are modern and good size and a good breakfast. The bad, the mattress was a deal breaker for me, it was bad enough for me to not want to return!! Sorry guys, try getting your cleaning staff to occasionally spin the mattress around . I could feel the springs!

We recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Dundee City Centre for three days, and the experience was underwhelming. From the moment we checked in, the issues began. The room was unclean, with carpets that hadn’t been vacuumed properly and dust covering the side tables. To add to the frustration, the phone was missing its cord, so we had to use our mobile phone to call reception. The bed was uncomfortable, and despite trying to check out and move to another hotel, I couldn’t get a refund due to booking through Trip.com, which didn’t allow for cancellations. The morning buffet was repetitive, offering the exact same selection every day with no variety. While the front desk staff were supportive, one particular staff member in a suit and tie was incredibly unprofessional. He ignored us, looked at us disrespectfully, and even laughed at us with another staff member during breakfast. When he realized I noticed, he quickly walked away. This behavior was unacceptable, especially from someone who appeared to be in a managerial position. Respect should be given to all guests, regardless of their ethnicity. Parking was another inconvenience, costing £10 per day. On our last day, there was barely any parking available, and you also need to ensure your vehicle is LEZ compliant, or you’ll incur additional charges. The bathroom was dirty upon check-in, with hardly any tissue provided. We were told housekeeping wasn’t available at night, so we had to wait until the following day for it to be cleaned. Adding to the chaos, the fire alarm went off unexpectedly, causing unnecessary panic. On top of this, some guests were excessively noisy, and the wall where the TV was kept shaking for unknown reasons. Overall, this stay was far below expectations. While a few staff members were helpful, the lack of cleanliness, comfort, and respect from certain individuals made it a disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made to their service and facilities.

My wife and two daughters stayed two night here Friday -Sunday. Warm and friendly welcome from reception staff . Rooms were warm on arrival and clean . Superb location In the city of Dundee. Good selection of drinks and food available from bar/restaurant. Breakfast was also Very good with a big selection to choose from ! I'll definitely visit again ! Thanks

Stayed many times without issue. This time the floor was filthy with mud from someone's boots plus the addition of a few toe nails. I was immediately moved to a nicer room with a complimentary drink as an apology. Will still stay again everyone is allowed the odd mishap.

I’ve been staying here since August frequently and can’t fault! Fantastic facilities, services and staff. Staff always on hand to help whenever needed. Big thanks to Simon, the Reservations Manager, for making my stays smooth and seamless!

People be aware if you park at the hotel and your car isn’t ULEZ compliant your stay becomes £60 more expensive. Reception don’t tell you any of this, apparently it’s on the website but if you book through a 3rd party you’re screwed. When I called about the park g arrangements they didn’t inform me of this. The hotel is merely metres inside the zone . BE AWARE of the secret surcharge
